Windows, Mac OSX, Linux

mdm.Dialogs.inputBox(caption:String, defaultText:String):String

title:String - Dialog window title
caption:String - The message text to be displayed in the dialog or in the dialog window title bar

A String

Executes an Input Box dialog, which allows the user to type a string.

When the user selects CANCEL an empty String will be returned.
Note that caption of native dialog is not customized on some systems - on operating system like Windows OS "caption" of dialog is assigned to native dialog window title. System provides localized caption as hint for user e.g. "Enter text here ..." in such situation.

Example Code
var myResult:String = mdm.Dialogs.inputBox("Enter Password", "Type Password Here...")
